Hotshots Flyball Team train at Vardalu Pet Hotel, Watford Rd, Elstree, Borehamwood, Herts. WD6 3BG. Training starts at 1pm on Saturdays from mid September to mid May and at 7pm on Wednesdays for the rest of the year.
Our venue is ideally situated for people in Hertfordshire and North London. We run a beginners course 3-4 times a year subject to demand. If you would like more information about joining one of our training sessions please contact us at info@hotshotsflyball.org.uk
Places in our competitive teams are limited and as such will only be offered to new members and their dogs that have successfully completed a beginner's course and are able to commit to regular training and attendance of competitions.

This is outdoor training, which prepares the dogs better for summer outdoor tournaments; dress up warm during the colder months! If you know of an indoor venue which might be suitable, please let us know. It needs to be minimum 100ft long by 30ft wide with a smooth or sawdust floor and good lighting.
Competitions
It's possible to find flyball happening somewhere in the country on most weekends, even during the winter months when indoor venues are used. Team members are asked about their availability well in advance so that we can plan which teams to enter. Once the entry form has been sent off the cost is split between the members that have agreed to participate, if only 4 dogs are entered in a team then the team funds make a contribution towards the cost. If a team member finds that they can no longer make the tournament after the entry has been submitted they then become liable for reimbursing the entire entry fee if their withdrawal results in the team no longer being able to compete.
We usually restrict ourselves to competitions within an hour or two driving but sometimes make exceptions! Competition entries have to be submitted as soon as a schedule is published because demand for places is usually very high. Seeding's are applied close to the tournament date and sometimes (for 2 day tournaments) we may not know on which day we will be running until a few days before. |
